Kota Kiran Kumar was an alumnus of social welfare residential school/college, Dammapeta, Khamma district and social welfare residential junior college, IIT Nagole He chased his most cherished dream of becoming an Indian civil servant and secured 652 rank in the highly competitive and prestigious Union Public Service Exam (2021) on his third attempt. The entire TSWREIS fraternity broke into celebration as Naresh created history by making to the portals of Indian Civil Service. He experienced several hardships in his school and college days, but he didn’t give up on his studies and dreams. Instead, he embraced the challenges head-on and driven by unflinching determination, perseverance and fire of passion, he pursued B.Tech from the India’s premier IIT (Kharagpur) after completion of intermediate from social residential junior college, IIT Nagole. But his most treasured dream of becoming an Indian civil servant and serving the voiceless communities didn’t let him to take rest and sleep. He made his civils attempt in 2019 and 2020, but wasn’t successful in his first and second attempts. But, Kiran Kumar never lost hope and will to succeed despite his two failed attempts. The urge in him was intensified with each failure and at last, he succeeded in securing 652 all India rank in the third attempt. Kiran Kumar may qualify for the celebrated Indian Police Service (IPS) under the scheduled Caste (SC) category. Kiran Kumar’s life truly reflects that education is the only way for social and economic upward mobility of marginalized communities, breaking centuries-old oppression and liberation from shackles of poverty and dependencyKiran Kumar is an inspiration for millions of marginalized children in the country and his story, a brilliant testimony to how one can become successful if one has the fire in his/her belly to succeed in life even in the face of challenges and hardships.
